Renatured (Commentary)

Renatured (Comment) Organism
glycerol, sucrose and adenosine triphosphate are effective folding aids, refolding buffer consists of 50 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.6), 5 mM dithiothreitol, 0.32 mM urea and an additive at a predetermined concentration, such as glycerol (3.2 M), sucrose (1 M), arginine (1 M), glycine (1 M), acetamide (1 M), and ATP (2 mM), refolding at low temperature (4°C) enhances the refolding yield of the homodimeric enzyme. Artificial chaperone-assisted refolding buffer consists of 50 mM Tris-HCl (pH 7.6), 5 mM dithiothreitol, 0.32 M urea, 1.2 (or 0.6) mM cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, and 4.8 mM beta-cyclodextrin.
