Above pH 4.0, 2,6-dimethoxyphenol oxidation drops rapidly to 20% at pH 5.0 and to almost zero at pH 6.0. On the other hand, over 40% activity remains at pH 2.0. The oxidation of Reactive Blue 5 occurs with with approximately 50% of the maximum activity at pH 3.0 and 4.5, respectively Xylaria grammica
