additional information the Km value for formaldehyde is measured to be 10┬ľ13 mM using the formaldehyde solution containing methanol. 23┬ľ25 mM is obtained with freshly prepared formaldehyde solution only with distilled water. A Km value over 50 mM is observed when using the substrate solution stored in a refrigerator over one month Acetobacter sp.
