additional information the Km value for formaldehyde is measured to be 10–13 mM using the formaldehyde solution containing methanol. 23–25 mM is obtained with freshly prepared formaldehyde solution only with distilled water. A Km value over 50 mM is observed when using the substrate solution stored in a refrigerator over one month Acetobacter sp.
