Knowledge Graph
Lisa Jeske

A first prototype of a knowledge graph has been released and is now accessible through a newly established SPARQL endpoint: https://sparql.dsmz.de/brenda.

The graph is based on the DSMZ Digital Diversity Ontology (D3O) and currently supports integration efforts within the DSMZ Digital Diversity Hub.

It contains structured information on entities such as:

  • Activator
  • Cofactor
  • Compound and CompoundStructure
  • Enzyme (linked to UniProt)
  • EnzymeClass
  • Inhibitor
  • Localization (linked to the Gene Ontology)
  • LocalizationOccurrence
  • Organism (linked to the NCBI Taxonomy and BacDive)
  • Pathway
  • Reaction
  • Reference (linked to PubMed and EuropePMC)
  • Tissue (linked to the BTO)
  • TissueOccurrence

Both LocalizationOccurrence and TissueOccurrence include links to Reference, Enzyme, and Organism entities.

This initial release comprises a total of 10,798,737 RDF triples.
