Standardization of functional enzyme data
This week, members of the BRENDA team will be attending the Beilstein STRENDA Commission Meeting in Rüdesheim, Germany. STRENDA – Standards for Reporting Enzymology Data – brings together international experts in enzymology, biochemistry, enzyme nomenclature, bioinformatics and related fields to improve the quality and reproducibility of enzyme data reported in the scientific literature. As both a major resource for enzyme information and part of the STRENDA Commission, BRENDA strongly supports the development and implementation of standards for high-quality enzyme data. We are looking forward to productive discussions, scientific exchange and new ideas for further advancing the standardization of enzymology data.
