The enzyme is colocalized with myelin basic protein in myelin sheaths but not in axons. At the ultrastructural level, the enzyme is localized to myelin sheaths. Expression of the enzyme increases between postnatal day 9 and postnatal day 14 during the postnatal development, presumably in accordance with myelinogenesis |
