IUBMB Comments

Acts on prostaglandins E2, F and B1, but not on prostaglandin D2 [cf. EC 1.1.1.141 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (NAD+) and EC 1.1.1.196 15-hydroxyprostaglandin-D dehydrogenase (NADP+)]. May be identical with EC 1.1.1.189 prostaglandin-E2 9-reductase.

The expected taxonomic range for this enzyme is: Eukaryota, Bacteria

Synonyms
prostaglandin e 9-ketoreductase, 9-ketoprostaglandin reductase, nadp-dependent 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase, 15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase (nadp+), more
