Overexpression of the barley 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase gene in plastids of tobacco does not prove to be advantageous in comparison to transgenic tobacco plants expressing high 4-hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase level in the cytoplasma.
